LA VISTA HISTORY
Cast away those winter blues and imagine you are on holiday for the day at La Vista Italian Bar and Restaurant, a popular New Forest venue. Established in June 2001, this Riviera-style restaurant overlooks the tranquil Hythe marina. Diners can enjoy a lovely outlook and an extensive Mediterranean menu.
La Vista is renowned for its fresh fish dishes, all of which are prepared in an open kitchen to whet the appetite. The superb menu and wine list exemplify the standard of this delightful dining venue. Delights such as bruschetta modo nostro will tempt from the starters menu, or you may prefer anatra affumicata - a smoked duck breast served with a homemade dip. For your main dish choose the likes of pollo cerianese: a chicken breast cooked in a light curry with prawns and a white wine cream sauce. There is also a daily specials chalkboard. No Mediterranean restaurant would be complete without a selection of pasta and pizza, and La Vista doesn't disappoint - try a pizza Pescatora with seafood, tomato, mozzarella and basil. La Vista will also serve pasta as a main or starter portion. All dishes are homemade and freshly cooked to order, so dietary needs can be catered for easily. There is something for everyone here, and children are well looked after at this delightful family-friendly eatery.
